Full Speed Broadband
The limitless plan, has no data or speed restrictions, all other Metro plans have a max download of 100Mbps and upload of 40Mbps. Your connection run as fast as your link will allow (up to your chosen data cap). For more information on connection speeds, check out our average broadband speeds article in the Support Zone. Endless data speed throttles to 1.2 Mbps after you reach your data cap.
Wireless WiFi Router
All Netspeed 4/5G Broadband plans use a wireless router so that you can connect your laptop, tablet, smart phone or any other WiFi enabled device without using a network cable.
Soft Data Caps
Data capped plans will warn you when you are approaching your data cap. Endless data plans cannot have additional data packs added, if you need more full speed data please contact us to discuss a different plan.
No Fixed Term Contracts
Our standard 4/5G Wireless Broadband plans have no fixed term contract. We know you’ll love us, so we don’t need to lock you into 12 or 24 month contracts. You can pause and reconnect your 4/5G broadband connection as many times as you want. There is a minimum one month term each time you connect, then you can be as flexible as you need to be. All monthly payments are due in advance by direct debit.
Static IP Addresses
Static IP addresses are standard with all Netspeed plans at no extra charge (unless otherwise stated), so you can set up your very own hotspot, private or public game server, web or email server and lots of other cool techy stuff. That’s just one reason why we are the best internet provider for metro areas.
No Phone Line Required
4/5G Wireless Broadband connections don’t use old copper phone lines, we connect you wirelessly. If you do need a phone service, check out our home phone plans.

Coverage
We can connect you almost anywhere in New Zealand. Getting metro broadband is dependent on local availability, however you don’t need a clear line of sight to one of our transmitters.

Hardware Kit
You will need to purchase either a 4G wireless modem/router priced from $350 or a 4/5G wireless modem/router priced from $495.
If you are a bit further away from the transmitter you may also need an external antenna kit priced from $150.
You can purchase the equipment outright or we can often arrange a rental or term payment package for approved Netspeed members.
Installation Costs
Installation is easy and most people don’t need an installer, just connect your modem to the power and call us to activate your connection, it’s that easy.
